The elegant homestead-syled game lodge set on top of a granite outcrop in the heart of the North West bushveld lies within the 4000 hectare Sable Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary and offers an experience to be treasured by all its guests. Conveniently located in a malaria-free zone, it is one and a half hours drive from Johannesburg and slightly less from Pretoria, 30km to the north of the town Brits. The four-star lodge offers exceptionally comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 16 guests, in standard rooms leading out into the fever tree dotted gardens, or luxury suites with private balconies overlooking the pristine bushveld and the Thaba Khaya Lodge waterhole. No children under 10years are allowed. Security is paramount and Thaba Khaya Lodge is surrounded by game fencing and a controlled entrance within the large Sable Ranch Private Game Reserve. Guests are free to stroll around the four hectare lodge grounds, and explore beyond the fence on a game viewing vehicle or on foot with a qualified and certified game ranger. Lodge rates include all meals prepared by a chef extraordinaire, teas and coffees, use of the lodge facilities, game drives or walks with a qualified and certified game guide and excellent personal service by an attentive and friendly lodge team. Added to the lodges offering are the delightful sounds and sights of the African bushveld, exciting game drives in search of wildlife from the smallest reptile to the large and grand buffalo, prolific birdlife for watching and enjoying, fragrant aromas in the air, and a glitteringly beautiful star-filled night sky.
