Fall and spring are the best times to visit Mississauga and the Toronto area. Visit during the summer and you won't be alone. This is peak tourist season in the area, with visitors flocking to the city to enjoy comfortable weather that offers highs in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. Summer also brings a host of exciting events near Mississauga, like the North by Northeast Festival, Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival, Toronto Jazz Festival, and Toronto Pride.
Forgo some of these festivities, however, and you'll enjoy smaller crowds and lower hotel prices. In April and May, you'll enjoy average highs in the 50s and 60s. September and November offer similar weather. In fall, you can enjoy the added perk of catching the Toronto International Film Festival, Toronto International Art Fair, and Cavalcade of Lights.
Winter is windy and bitingly cold, so you'll find some of the lowest hotel prices of the year, but you'll also face the potential for snow, ice, and dreary weather. Average highs are in the upper 20s to lower 30s, so you'll want to pack plenty of warm clothing. Those who are bold enough to come to the area in this season can catch Winterlicious and the Toronto International Boat Show.

Mississauga began as a simple suburb of Toronto which soon grew into a city with its own distinct character. Today, it is one of the most advanced cities in Canada, offering not just popular attractions for tourists to visit but major businesses for business travelers. One of the most interesting places to visit is the simple Mississauga Civic Centre. Its structure is not grand because of the fact that it was designed as an allusion to the farmsteads which had been predominant in the city in its past. Port Credit is also a must-visit. This historic village offers a wide variety of restaurants and shops. This is also the venue for a number of annual events and festivals. Another good option to visit is the Streetsville, also with distinct shops and restaurants. This highly urbanized city is not just modern buildings and structures. In fact, visitors can find a number of historic attractions and green parks within its borders. Among the favorite historic attractions are the Old Meadowvale Village, Benares Historic House, Adamson Estate, and Bradley Museum. The city is also home to several golf courses, two of the major options are The Lakeview Golf Course and The BraeBen Golf Course.

Learned that Mississauga gets a bad wrap. However, we found that the dog parks and neighborhoods were beautiful and we are confident that our next move will be in this area. The food was great and the proximity to Toronto was a treat. Again, I have no doubt that we will strongly consider moving here in the next few years.
Came on a group visit to the city and stayed less than 5 minutes away from the Hershey Centre. Good area and friendly people.
