The mansion was built in 1744 by one of the most successful and richest Danish tradesmen - Gerhard de Lichtenberg and it was built to be his private home. However, by the year of 1813 it had already become a Guesthouse Court and remains so today.Some of the leisure activities and attractions in the nearby area include golf, sailing, fishing, bowling, museums, theatre and shopping.
