We have three meeting places inside our premises, namely a hall, a wooden deck and a swimming pool inside the large garden.
Each can serve as a meeting place on its own, depending on the needs of our guests, or all three can be used for the same function. This option is of particular interest to planners who need a back-up plan in case of increment weather.
Our hall is multi-functional and has an inbuilt bar counter. Rental of the hall includes the use of tables and chairs for up to 80 guests.
Draping, cutlery and crockery can be provided on request at an additional cost.
There are working fridges in the hall and bar area, as well as in the kitchenette in the communal lounge area alongside the wooden deck..
There are three large double doors made from glass along the length on one side of the hall. These doors lead out onto a 40m2 slasto floor which can be incorporated to the indoor function.
The hall is the ground level of our lodge.
Our property is on the corner of Longwoods Drive and 193 Umhlanga Rocks Drive, Durban North.
The premises is fully fenced and has two gates off Umhlanga Rocks Drive (one for entrance, one for exit), and a third entrance off Longwoods Drive.
We can fit about 20 vehicles inside the parking areas of each of the entrances (total 40 vehicles), and another 10 vehicles outside the property, off road.
There are two toilets available - of which one is on the wooden deck near the hall. This deck can also be used for functions and can seat 12 people comfortably.
There is a small kitchenette available alongside the wooden deck.
The lodge has single and family units (all have their own bathrooms/ shower rooms with toilets and hand basins) of which some are self catering and can sleep up to 26 people.
To the back of the property is a very large garden and swimming pool which is also available for functions and events.
Cost of the venue for all three meeting places inclusive, depends on the amount of guests:
up to 30 guests R2000;
up to 50 guests R2500;
up to 80 guests R3000;
up to 100 guests R3500.

.We have a lovely wooden deck at the back of our lodge, overlooking the garden, and with a spectacular inland view.
Ideal for family meals, or small meetings, the deck is roofed and has its own toilet.
Adjacent to the communal lounge/kitchenette, this meeting place has hosted many memorable functions.
The furniture on the deck consists of 5 tables stringed in a row, with 12 very large wooden chairs around this string. However, the tables can be removed, and the chairs can be replaced with smaller chairs, making seating possible for up to 20 people comfortably.
Rental of the wooden deck is R500 per event.
