I visited the Padre on the 27th of July. I had a slight issue and the manager took care of me and my party immediately. Kudos to Cristian Moncivaiz, he proved to be very helpful.

Staff was kind and professional. Food was left wanting. Felt store bought and heated up, particularly the chocolate cake, that was awful. Furniture looked well worn and scuffs all over the walls in the room. It just felt like it was once a very fine hotel that has lost it's shine inside. Again, every staff person we engaged with was genuinely kind and professional and helpful, so the lack of standards for food and presentation is at least well made up for in their hiring standards, which is clearly top notch, so well done to the hiring manager.

Staying at the Padre Hotel was a great experience. The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful, and it is a beautiful building. Our room was very clean, and our stay was comfortable. I will stay there anytime I am in Bakersfield!

A gem in the center of downtown Bakersfield that has been totally renovated and is within walking distance from restaurants and nightlife. Friendly staff and reasonable prices make the Padre a place you will want to return to!
