Travelers who'd like to visit Northeastern University may take a Boston's MPA Green Line subway train or an Orange Line subway train to one of the three stations located on Huntington Avenue and Ruggles Street. MPA trains stop at Northeastern University every 9-11 minutes during the school year and about every 13 minutes during the summer. As a result, it's easy to visit Northeastern University without using your vehicle.
Northeastern University features many attractions that celebrate Boston's great love of the fine arts. For example, Blackman Auditorium and the New England Conservatory of Music hosts over 150 concerts, lectures and plays each year. They feature 800-1,200 stadium-style seats, modern audio-visual equipment and a small snack shop. Visitors can purchase tickets to events held at this venue at the box office located just west of the main entrance on Huntington Avenue.
Furthermore, don't forget to visit the Centennial Common area located near the MPA's Ruggles Street Orange Line Station. This lovely area features picnic grounds and a jogging path. It also features several local vendors that sell snacks and unique souvenirs.
If you'd like to know more about the admissions process, be sure to visit the university's visitor's center. It's located across from the Centennial Common on Huntington Avenue. The center is available to answer students' questions about admissions, financial aid and other matters Monday-Friday from about 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM.
Students can also find information about on-campus housing options at the Student Resident Center located on 4 Speare Commons. This center provides students timely information about on-campus housing options, on-campus dining options and to apply for campus housing. The center also offers students additional information about off-campus housing options that available around the Boston area.
Finally, students can choose from three libraries on campus. The main library is located at Snell Hall on 376 Huntington Hall. The other libraries are located near the Fine Arts building and the law school located near the school's main entrance. Each library features modern Internet access, access to over 3,000 scholarly journals and access to Northeastern University's online databases.
