I had to stay in a motel due to the road conditions. When I checked online, it said the rate was $80/night, but I was having difficulty making the reservation online, so called the motel. Surprise now the rate is $150+ taxes! I truly believe they jacked the rate due to road conditions and people needing a place to stay. "Breakfast" was small breakfast bars, coffee, tea, apples and apple juice. No yogurt, no oatmeal.. Hallway had a weird smell almost like someone spilled a 1/2 gallon of maple syrup in it. Room was clean and well appointed, bed was comfortable. No carpet which meant the floor was cold, but it was clean since it could be mopped. Front staff was very helpful. Due to storm all the parking spaces were snowed in except for along the side of the building so she got permission for me and another person to park there. (I had already been stuck in the deep snow and didn't want to chance it again.) Cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating as was front desk staff. The property is in a convenient area with multiple dining and shopping options nearby. All in all, I would stay there again if need be. But, I would check for other lower rates before committing!
