Property Description
The Tradewinds has been a landmark in the heart of Carmel by the Sea since 1959. We recently completed a four million dollar renovation, which led us to be featured in Architectural Digest. With its unique fusion of Asian and tropical design, The Tradewinds provides an elegant oasis of calm and an intriguing "zen-like" atmosphere. The hotel is conveniently located 3 short blocks from the center of Carmel where there are over 100 restaurants, shops and galleries from which to choose from. The Tradewinds is also within close proximity to Northern California’s most beautiful coastal vistas such as Carmel Beach, Pebble Beach, Point Lobos and Big Sur.The Tradewinds staff caters to couples as well as intimate executive groups, small wedding groups and reunions who find our ambience soothing and conducive to creative thinking and relaxation. We can accommodate group functions in our outdoor garden areas, or in the Catlin Room which can accommodate groups of up to 25 people.We have 28 beautifully appointed guest rooms consisting of Deluxe Kings, Deluxe Queen/Queens and two one bedroom (King) suites. All of our sleeping rooms are approximately 300 square feet and include special touches such as Frette linens, feather mattresses and hand made wooden beds from Bali. Many of our rooms and suites offer fireplaces, private balconies and views of the Pacific.
